Mindanao Highland Mission is a current ministry of Pastor Jojo Gubal under the leadership and inspiration of Evans Family Ministries.The Evans Family Ministries, headed by Rev. John Evans started  the work in the mountains of mindanao on  2010 partnering with the existing medical ministry of his brother, Dr. Samuel C. Evans M.D. He started with providing the spiritual side ( Counselling) of the medical clinics conducted in the highlands. Rev. John Evans also helped train counsellors for the medical clinics. Later, he connected with the T'boli pastors of South Cotabato and Bla'an Pastors of Sarangani and conducted Pastors Leadership Seminar twice every year and helped with the LIFESTOCK project- a goat dispersal program for the tribal pastors.

Pastor Jojo Gubal is a ministry associate of EFM and currently serving as missionary to the highlands of mindanao. Pastor Jojo Gubal started as an interpreter of Rev. John Evans during the early trips to the highlands and sooner represents EFM for the monthly meetings with the tribal pastors in South Cotabato and Sarangani Areas. The network of Pastors and churches grew larger that monthly fellowships were organized in 2 areas.

Pastor Jojo Gubal is a graduate of the General Baptist Bible College (1995), serve as Filipino Missionary to Honduras for a while and Pastored Philippine churches for more than 16 years. He is married to Louella Novabos Gubal( work as a CHEF of GREEN LEAF HOTEL Gensan). They have 2 sons:  Luis Alejandro, 7 years old and Josiah Owen, 3 months old. They are presently living in General Santos City.
